Portkeys LH7P 7-inch Monitor
The Portkeys LH7P is a lightweight 7-inch HDMI touchscreen monitor with 1000-nit brightness, 3D LUT support and wireless camera control for selected Sony cameras, including touch autofocus control on compatible models.
The Portkeys LH7P is a compact 7-inch touchscreen field monitor designed for filmmakers, owner-operators, small crews and Sony camera users who need a brighter external monitor with camera-control features.
With a 1920 x 1080 display, 1000-nit brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio, the LH7P gives a larger daylight-viewable monitoring surface for handheld rigs, gimbals, shoulder setups, tripods and lightweight production builds. Its HDMI-only design keeps the unit slim and light, with published specifications listing a weight of 245g without battery.
For Sony users, the key benefit is wireless camera control. The LH7P can connect to selected Sony cameras using the camera’s Wi-Fi control connection while the video feed is still carried over HDMI. Supported functions vary depending on the camera model and firmware, but published reports and listings describe control over settings such as recording, shutter, ISO, aperture and touch focus on compatible Sony bodies.
On compatible Sony cameras, the LH7P can be used to trigger touch autofocus / touch tracking from the monitor screen, which is particularly useful when the camera’s own rear screen is blocked, too small, or awkward to reach. A practical caveat is that Sony does not always output the focus tracking box over HDMI, so the camera’s own screen may still be needed to confirm exactly what the camera is tracking.
The LH7P also includes common monitoring tools such as waveform, vectorscope, false colour, peaking, zebra, zoom and custom 3D LUT support, with 3D LUT output via HDMI. This makes it useful not only as a larger screen, but also as a practical exposure, focus and camera-control tool for compact Sony production setups.
