The ARRI ARRILITE 750 Plus is a professional tungsten open-face lamphead designed for film, television, studio and location lighting.
As part of ARRI’s ARRILITE Plus range, it is built for productions that need a compact, lightweight and punchy tungsten source. Unlike a Fresnel, the ARRILITE 750 Plus uses an open-face design with a parabolic facetted reflector, making it useful for broad fill, bounce, diffusion, background lighting, interviews and fast location setups.
The fixture uses ARRI’s MAX Technology reflector, made from high-purity aluminium, to improve light distribution and efficiency. ARRI states that the ARRILITE 750 Plus offers a 21% increase in light efficiency compared with the previous ARRILITE 800 model.
The ARRILITE 750 Plus is designed around HPL lamps and is compatible with 375W, 575W and 750W HPL bulbs. ARRI’s technical data also lists other compatible lamp options, including 600W, 650W and 800W configurations, depending on the correct lamp and accessory setup.
The detachable and fully rotatable accessory holder accepts scrims and barndoors, and includes fittings that allow a Chimera Video Pro Plus S to be fitted directly without an additional speedring. A one-arm stirrup, rear heat-proof handle and tool-free lamp-change design make it practical for fast moving production environments.
As a tungsten open-face light, it should be treated as a hot-running professional fixture. ARRI’s manual states that the ARRILITE 750 Plus is intended for professional use in dry environments, with IP20 protection, minimum distance requirements and operation only by qualified persons.
