ARRI 300 Plus Tungsten
The ARRI 300 Plus is a compact 300W tungsten Fresnel for film, studio and location lighting, offering classic 3200K output, focusable beam control, robust ARRI construction and lightweight handling for interviews, accents, backlight and small-set lighting.
The ARRI 300 Plus is a compact 300W tungsten Fresnel designed for professional film, television, studio and location lighting.
As part of ARRI’s Junior tungsten range, it is built for situations where a small, lightweight but robust Fresnel is required. Its 3200K tungsten output makes it useful for controlled interior lighting, interviews, practical-motivated setups, background accents, backlights, tabletop work and small drama scenes.
The fixture uses a Fresnel lens and spherical specular high-purity aluminium reflector to provide a controlled, focusable beam. ARRI lists the beam angle at 14°–53°, allowing the unit to be used as a tighter spot source or opened out for broader coverage depending on the setup.
The 300 Plus is designed for external dimming from 0–100% and uses CP81 300W lamps with a GY9.5 base. It mounts via a standard 16mm / 5/8-inch socket, making it compatible with normal lighting stands and grip support.
For production use, the ARRI 300 Plus is best treated as a small classic tungsten Fresnel: simple, controllable and characterful, but hot-running and intended for professional use. ARRI’s manual states that the fixture is for dry environments, has IP20 protection, should only be operated by qualified persons, and must be used with the correct safety distances and fully closed lamp enclosure.
