The SmallRig 3737 boom arm is a useful lighting and accessory support arm for film, video, photography and small studio setups.
The arm is useful for offsetting lightweight fixtures, small LED lights, practical lighting accessories, reflectors, overhead details, tabletop lighting, small modifiers or other compatible equipment where a straight vertical light stand position is not ideal.
Its adjustable boom length allows equipment to be positioned further out from the stand, giving more flexibility for interviews, product filming, overhead setups, background lighting and small location builds. The arm should be balanced correctly and used with appropriate counterweighting or sandbags, especially when extended.
For safety, the arm should only be used with a suitable compatible stand, securely locked off, kept within its rated load, and weighted appropriately for the fixture, angle and extension length.
