The SmallRig RA-S280A Light Stand is a lightweight, air-cushioned lighting stand suitable for film, video, photography and small studio setups.
The stand offers an adjustable height range from approximately 94cm to 280cm, making it useful for interviews, talking heads, tabletop work, small lighting setups, background lights, practical lighting, content creation and general location production.
Its air-cushioned centre column helps slow the drop of the risers when lowering the stand, making it safer and more controlled than a non-cushioned lightweight stand. The flip-lock design allows quick height adjustments, while the 1/4″-20 threaded top adapter provides compatibility with a range of lights and accessories.
For safe use, the stand should be placed on stable ground, locked off securely and weighted with a sandbag where required, especially outdoors, when raised high, or when supporting larger modifiers.
