This 50m RCD-protected 4-gang extension lead is a practical production power accessory for film, video, event and location use.
Built with 2.5mm² H07RN-F tough rubber cable, it is designed for more demanding temporary power setups than a lightweight domestic extension lead. The 50m length makes it useful for running power to video village, battery charging areas, production desks, small lighting setups, audio stations or general on-location equipment.
This version is configured with an RCD plug type, meaning the RCD protection is built into the plug end of the extension lead. This can be useful when connecting from a standard 13A socket or suitable compatible supply where additional residual-current protection is required at the point of connection.
The lead is supplied as one continuous 50m coil rather than split into two separate cable sections, keeping the run simple and avoiding an extra inline coupler. For production use, this can be helpful where a straightforward long cable run is preferred.
As with all location power equipment, the total connected load must remain within the rating of the lead, plug and socket outlet. Cable routing, trip hazards, weather exposure, RCD testing, PAT test status and full uncoiling under load should all be considered before use.
