The NEEWER PS099EP is a compact 99Wh mini V-mount battery designed for powering a range of film and video equipment on location. Its smaller form factor makes it useful for lightweight camera builds, monitor setups, wireless video systems, accessories and compact LED lighting, where a full-size V-lock battery may be too bulky.
With a 99Wh capacity, it sits just under the common 100Wh threshold, making it a practical travel-friendly battery option for many productions. The battery includes a V-mount connection, D-Tap, dual USB-C, USB-A, DC 8V, DC 12V and BP interface, allowing it to power or charge multiple devices depending on the required voltage and connector.
The 100W bidirectional USB-C PD fast charging is especially useful for modern production setups, allowing compatible devices to be powered directly via USB-C, while also allowing the battery itself to be recharged quickly with a suitable USB-C PD charger. NEEWER states that the battery can be fully charged in around 2 hours when used with a suitable 100W GaN PD charger, which is not included.
The built-in OLED display provides quick battery status information, while the battery management system provides protection against issues such as over-voltage, over-current, overcharging, over-discharge and short circuits. This makes it a useful general-purpose on-set power solution for camera, lighting and monitoring setups.
