The Tilta Nucleus-M II Ultimate Kit is a professional wireless lens control system for film, video, commercial and documentary production.
Designed for camera assistants, operators and small production teams, the system allows remote control of manual cinema lenses using wireless motors. It can support up to four motors for focus, iris, zoom and ND control, although this Ultimate Kit includes two motors as standard. Additional motors would be required for full four-channel motor control at the same time.
The kit includes a FIZ hand unit, left and right hand grips, two lens motors, 15mm and 19mm motor rod mounts, 0.8 MOD and 0.5 MOD motor gears, motor cables, P-Tap power cable, marking discs, monitor mounting bracket, baby pin adapter, lanyard and hard shell case.
For focus pulling, the hand unit includes lens mapping, adjustable hand-wheel damping and display of focus, iris and zoom information. The electronic focus marking disc can display focus information from the operator’s working position, while standard marking discs are also included for traditional marks.
The Nucleus-M II is useful for tripod work, handheld builds, gimbals, Steadicam, car rigs, remote heads and video village focus-pulling setups where direct access to the lens is difficult or where a dedicated focus puller needs wireless control away from the camera. Camera-control features are also supported on compatible camera models, but available functions vary depending on camera and firmware.
