Minolta Autometer VF Light Meter
The Minolta Auto Meter V F is a compact hand-held exposure meter for film, photography and lighting work, offering ambient and flash metering, incident and reflected-light reading options, cine frame-rate settings, memory functions and flash-to-ambient ratio display.
The Minolta Auto Meter V F is a professional hand-held exposure meter designed for stills, film and lighting setups where accurate light measurement is required.
It can measure both ambient light and flash light, making it useful for cinematography, photography, studio lighting, interviews, practical exposure checks and lighting-ratio work. The meter supports incident-light readings using its spherical diffuser, with reflected-light readings possible when using compatible reflected-light accessories.
For film and video use, the Auto Meter V F includes cine frame-rate settings from 8 to 128 frames per second, allowing it to be used for motion-picture exposure calculations as well as still-camera shutter-speed based readings. The ambient shutter-speed range extends from 30 minutes to 1/8000 second, while flash readings can be taken from 1 second to 1/500 second.
The meter also includes useful lighting-control functions including memory storage for two readings, average exposure calculation, brightness difference readings and flash/ambient proportion display. These features make it practical for checking key-to-fill ratios, comparing background and subject levels, or balancing continuous and flash sources.
