Smallrig RC 450B

The SmallRig RC 450B is a high-output bi-colour COB LED video light built for professional content creation, studio work, commercial production and location-based shoots.

Rated at 450W, the RC 450B delivers substantial punch for a wide range of lighting applications. At 5600K it outputs 18,900 lux at 1 metre without its reflector, rising to a maximum of 121,000 lux at 1 metre with the reflector fitted, giving it the level of output needed for key light, punch-through diffusion and larger modifier setups.

Its bi-colour range of 2700K to 6500K allows the fixture to adapt quickly to different environments, from warmer practical-balanced interiors to cooler daylight setups. With CRI 96+ and TLCI 97+, the RC 450B is designed to deliver reliable colour reproduction for both video and stills workflows.

The light features a Bowens mount, giving it broad compatibility with professional modifiers such as reflectors, softboxes and other shaping tools. This makes it suitable for use as a hard source, a softened key or a more controlled studio fixture depending on the needs of the shoot.

For on-set operation, the RC 450B offers three control methods: onboard adjustment at the fixture, app-based remote control via SmallGoGo, and wired control through SmallRig’s optional control board. A silent cooling system with intelligent temperature management keeps fan noise to around 28dB at 1 metre, helping it remain practical for sound-sensitive recording environments.

The RC 450B supports 100–240V AC input and can also be powered via a power station, making it a flexible option for both studio and location use. With its combination of high output, variable colour temperature and modifier compatibility, it is well suited to interviews, branded content, commercial shoots and general professional video production.
